Richard Séguin Conference

On October 7, 2023 at the Grantham Foundation, in conjunction with the exhibition Inhabiting the Space, Richard Séguin gave a conference entitled Retour à Walden, sur les pas de Henry David Thoreau.

This conference pays tribute to Henry David Thoreau, the philosopher, rebel and man of his word, whose essential work enlightened his century and will undoubtedly inspire our own. A writer involved in the abolitionist movement, a contemplative, a great walker, a philosopher of nature, a precursor of ecology, a visionary thinker at the origin of the concept of civil disobedience, Henry David Thoreau left us an immense body of work. His philosophical approach is that of a man who wants to live deeply.
