Announcement of the winners of the 1st call for projects of the Grantham Foundation for the Arts and the Environment

As part of its 1st call for projects, the Foundation received more than a hundred applications.

On January 7, the scientific committee of the Grantham Foundation for the Arts and the Environment held the jury for the attribution of the residencies (artist and researcher) for the year 2020. The committee, led by Johanne Lamoureux, Canada Research Chair in Civic Museology, brings together the expertises of Sophie Bélair-Clément, artist and professor at the Université du Québec en Outaouais, Jean-François Bélisle, Executive Director and Chief Curator of Musée d’art de Joliette, Suzanne Paquet, Director of the Department of Cinematographic Studies and Art History of Université de Montréal and Bénédicte Ramade, critic, researcher and independent commissioner specializing in anthropocene issues.

The name of the 2020 winners will be announced on February 6 during a small ceremony at the Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal.
